Wardriving update

In 2002 I blogged about Wardriving and security you should put in place if you are using a wi-fi access point. A few years later and wardriving is still being done but the kit is getting smaller and the signal stronger! I recently used my PDA phone with it’s built in wi-fi and my TomTom bluetooth GPS receiver to log a few access points using WiFiFoFum software. Once logged into a POI (Points Of Interest) text file I can ask Google to display the points for me! (be patient) or use WiGLE

Remember, wardriving is not a crime! … but hacking into other peoples networks is!
