Sunday saw the 11th Annual Charity Garden Party at Thornbridge Hall and it was the 4th time visiting for us. The first year I concentrated on creating images with my SLR but then I got lazy and now just use my iPhone.
Although it’s a garden party, the actual hall is open to the public for the day and it’s a great opportunity to have a quick peek at the modern restoration. It’s lovely!
Always a great turnout, always superb things to do and see and let us not forget that their own beer is available from the amazing Thornbridge Brewery. You must go next year.

Oh man, looks super interesting & colourful! Can definitely see myself rocking up to that one next year ^_^
On a slightly different, more desperate note………….we want to van off to the Peak District this weekend, Don’t suppose you could suggest a v scenic site? Think remote. Picturesque. Not too busy. Doesn’t have to have any facilities at all so am thinking some lovely farm? Oh, and cheap, did I mention cheap? 😉 can’t seem to find what I’m looking for [OR: the ones I really liked are already unavailable as I forgot school hols kick off tomorrow, duh!]
If you can point us in the right direction will buy you a pint one of these days, ha!
Until soon,
Babs B
Hey Babs, thanks.
To be honest we have been using Caravan Club sites due to having small children and needing facilities. But I would like to try some of the sites in Edale … http://www.edale-valley.co.uk/cat/campsite Sorry I can’t actually give you recommendations but I know Waterside Farm Campsite seems to have some decent reviews on UK Campsite http://www.ukcampsite.co.uk/sites/details.asp?revid=2319
Let me know how you get on!
Waterside Farm in Edale it is, just booked ourselves in! Thanks for the Edale link, some amaaaaaazing sites on there!!
Well, if you’re ever in Llangollen (super child friendly ^_^) – pint’s yours, knew I could rely on you to come up with the goods ^_^
Thanks!
Let me know what it’s like … hopefully you’ll blog it 🙂
