It was my Birthday a couple of days ago and a I received a Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ10. I’m really pleased.
Having the iPhone everywhere I go is obviously very handy when I need to take a shot and share it. I take my DSLR with me when I’m going to a special event or when I’m wanting to capture really high quality images. But I wanted a compact travel camera with GPS for when I’m traveling and logging locations for Google Earth.
The Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ10 comes with a MASSIVE list of features which I don’t intend to list as you can just go and see the amazingly comprehensive TZ10 review from Gordon Laing. But what matters to me the most is the following:
- 12.1 Megapixels
- 12x Optical Zoom (25-300mm)
- Wide Angle 25mm
- GPS
- Face Recognition
- HD Video recording (with QuickTime)
- Manual control
- Bracketing (for HDR)
Here is my first HD 720p Video test …
Here is a quick example of the 12x optical zoom (hand held) …
I hope to get the chance to produce some HDR images from the bracketed JPG’s and post the images soon.
