Recently I’ve had a few conversations with Phil Sorrell (@DaylightGambler) about his geo-blogging site called Social Hiking (in alpha) and we’ve been discussing ways in which it could be used outside of hiking and for geo-event-blogging type of shizzle (see my post on The Social Media Portal).
He’s amazingly pro-active and has already added extra geo-tagging services like Gowalla. I think it’s a great app and will be testing it on an upcoming trip.
The ability to embed an iframe map in Posterous is a bonus! …
If I’ve setup my Social Hiking account correctly then markers should appear in the map above marking geo-tagged tweets, geo-tagged Gowalla checkin’s and Flickr pictures embeded based on the time the photo was taken.
Get yourself over to Social Hiking and set up your account now!
