Here are a few before and after pictures of the new Mackney Photography Studio in Darley Abbey, Derby. I’m really impressed that my brother Simon and Wendy have done such a fantastic job on an empty un-used space.
Simon had the foresight to plan the new studio with multiple areas for shooting, meeting, changing, relaxing and viewing. He’s also created a secure office area where the re-touching magic happens (!). New plumbing and electrics had to be put in place to make it suitable to be used as a Photographic business fit for the public.

This is a shot of the changing rooms and make-up area. The outer walls of the ‘pods’ are clad in materials designed to be used as backdrops for photoshoots.
The photography studio is set in the old mills of Darley Abbey – a collection of historic mill buildings dating back to the late 1700’s. I’ve embedded a satellite map below showing how nice the surrounding area is on the river Derwent.
