Welcome to Jolicloud, a cool new OS for your netbook!
I’ve been accepted to test out Jolicloud and have installed it onto a USB drive for testing on my Toshiba NB100 netbook. I’ll give an update once I’ve had a good play with it, but so far I really like the lightweight feel of it and it’s approach to installing apps (like the iPhone). It booted from the USB straight away and also picked up my 3G dongle for instant internet access. I’ve always liked the idea of lightweight operating systems and mentioned a Diskless Internet Terminal a few years ago … I’m thinking this would be great as a diskless terminal, especially for those who just need Internet browsing, webmail and Facebook type stuff. In fact I know a few family members that could use this on their desktop PC and have a clean install after every reboot!
