Black or White – Posterous CSS

Black or White Posterous CSS Web Social Design

I change the style of my blog as often as I change my underwear (about once a week) and have been doing so since I bought the domain name(s) in ’99. In the early days it was either flash or table based html and each static page had to be changed manually. Stuff was pretty basic back then, but luckily the web has moved on and changing the design or theme can just rely on upades to an external Cascading Style Sheet. I’ve recently moved the CSS out from the Posterous page and have been hosting it myself to allow extremely quick updates to the layout.

Mostly the colour theme to my site has been black but I’ve been messing with the colour and thought I’d try a white/light style for a couple of weeks. I’d appreciate it if you would let me know which one (of the two options) takes your fancy.

Really liking the bright white look. :)

I’d always recommend white backgrounds for type legibility if your blogs where text heavy. Looking back however, black seems to have served you well over the years, not sure of the vivid green type in the first one!. Might be nice to see this as true white and not a tint? But I bet you’ll soon be back to black.

How do you do this? Would love to learn how to hack the layout of my posterous site. Any tips or pointers? :)

I really like numbers 4, 6 and 8. How much would it set me back to get one of them?

Think I prefer the black, makes things easier to read somehow?!?
