You know that Instagram provides RSS feeds for hash tags, but they don’t (yet) provide RSS feeds for a user. There are quite a few sites popping up that are using the Instagram API to display user profiles and one I’ve noticed is Listagram.
One of the cool features of this site is a user RSS feed … http://listagr.am/n/richardmackney.xml I don’t know how long this RSS will be available, but for now we can use this feed or the official Instagram #hashtag feed to embed onto Posterous (update: you can now also use the feed from http://followgram.me).
So as usual, you create a HTML file in your Dropbox – here is my file that contains the following code taken from zRSSFeed that uses the Google Feeds API and jQuery with a bit of a dirty CSS hack to hide the title text rather than edit the Javascript.
and then you use the usual iframe code to embed it in Posterous (change the width, height and dropbox reference blah, blah)
